Ways To Help

Alternatives benefits greatly from the generosity of the community, and its supporters find many ways to help us in our work. Those fortunate enough to be able to afford financial donations will find there are many ways of giving money, securities, real estate and other assets to further our mission, often with sizeable tax benefits.

But money is only one way of giving. For instance, the teams of volunteers at Alternatives who perform so many important tasks for us in all our locations donate their time. These Alternatives Ambassadors take our message to places we might not otherwise reach and donate their passion for Alternatives' vision. Employers who know the value of the people we serve provide all-important jobs. Those who attend an art show or some other Alternatives-sponsored community event are giving their presence in something we prize highly - community involvement.

Those who step forward to help Alternatives in any of these ways are opening their minds to the disabled and embracing people who were once isolated. Whatever you do to help, in whatever way, makes a difference.
