 Have Fun!
Gather family, friends and coworkers for a day of fun and exercise at the 23rd Annual Valley Friendship Tour. Walk, run, jog, or pedal along one of six non-competitive routes. Water stops, sweep vehicles, bike tuning and emergency services ensure an enjoyable and safe event. At the Finish Line, participants will enjoy a healthy lunch, sports massages, music, great prizes, and tours of the Whitin Mill.
Choose One of These Six Routes
50 MILES twice around the 25 mile route, for serious cyclists. 8:00 a.m. start
25 MILES (Gerry’s Ride) through the beautiful and historic Blackstone River Valley.
9:00 a.m. start
10 MILES (on and off road) along the Blackstone Canal for mountain bikes, serious runners and hikers. 10:00 a.m. start Note: Hikers should start the route at 9:00 a.m.
5 KILOMETER in the historic Northbridge area for walkers, joggers and rollerbladers. Great for families! 10:00 a.m. start
10 KILOMETER on the same route as above, going around twice, for more serious runners and walkers. 10:00 a.m. start
WALK THE GOLDEN MILE through Whitinsville for fitness walkers, strollers, younger family members, wheel chairs and seniors.
11:00 a.m. start

Make A Difference!
All proceeds from the Valley Friendship Tour fund crucial programs at Alternatives. Since the inception of VFT, we have raised over $1 million! These funds enabled us to:
- Purchase much needed furnishings and adaptive equipment for our programs;
- Continue our Community Bridging Grant program, which supports initiatives that bring people together;
- Support our Health & Wellness initiatives
Alternatives is a nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible.
 Gerry's Ride

Get Involved Now!
Teams: Form a team from your company, community organization, or family. Each member works to raise $200 for a team total of at least $1000. Register your team by May 2nd and your team’s name will be printed on your T-shirts. The team that raises the most wins a gift certificate for The Sole Proprietor, VIA Italian Table, or One Eleven Chop House.
 Non-Profit Teams: Form a team, as above, from your nonprofit or community organization, raise at least $1000, and we will split the funds raised 50/50 with your organization.
Individuals: Register for the event and join your neighbors in supporting a wonderful organization. Individual registrants are asked to raise at least $100.
