VOLUNTEER

We love volunteers at Alternatives. There is nothing that better demonstrates the community's support of our goals than people coming forward and unselfishly giving of their skills, their experience and their time.

People volunteer with Alternatives for a variety of reasons. Volunteering allows them to use their skills, to gain new ones, to learn more about a career in human services, to earn credit for community service, to find new friends and to contribute to their community.

We offer volunteer positions throughout the organization. Those positions may involve working directly with those we serve, or may be more behind-the-scenes. No matter what the position, all are important.

We also have a strong internship program for students who hope to gain a foothold in the human services.
